Will there be non-English versions of the game?
At this time we do not have any plans to produce non-English versions of the game. If we do develop a non-English version we will announce it on the Edge of Darkness page on alderac.com and it won’t be a part of this Kickstarter.

Can you make asymmetric powers for the Guilds?
John D. Clair the designer has decided not to do so for this game to preserve the delicate balance of the game systems.

Can I pay via PayPal?
Kickstarter does not accept PayPal. However you will be able to use PayPal in our Pledge Manager. See the Pledge Manager FAQ for more info.

Can I get a version of the game with just the Locations and not the plastic parts?
No. The bulk of the difference in price between the Guildmaster and Agent Rewards is the value of the Location boards and the double-sided plastic crafting strips. We can’t make a version of the Guildmaster Reward without the plastic components that would be less expensive than the version with those components.

Explain the Pledge Manager Please?
The Pledge Manager is a tool that we will make available to everyone (regardless of wether they backed the campaign or not) after the campaign ends. It is a 3rd party tool not hosted by Kickstarter or AEG.
The Pledge Manager will be where you tell us where to ship your Reward, and what Add-ons you want to include in your Reward. You will be able to include additional copies of the Rewards as Add-ons.
You will pay for Shipping & Handling in the Pledge Manager, which will be able to calculate the total cost for the weight of the items you’re ordering.
You will manage your delivery address in the Pledge Manager. If you move you will be able to change your address.
You will be able to pay via PayPal in the Pledge Manager. If you want to back the campaign but can’t do it in Kickstarter because Kickstarter doesn’t take PayPal wait for the Pledge Manager to open.
After the campaign ends there will be a link to the Pledge Manager on the campaign page - it will appear as a button right at the top of the page adjacent to the graphic for the campaign. We will also link to it from the Edge of Darkness page on alderac.com.
Expect a delay of some period after the campaign ends before the Pledge Manager opens - it won’t open immediately.
The Rewards in the Pledge Manager will be the same as those in the campaign but may be priced differently. All the Add-ons from the campaign will be in the Pledge Manager will be available but may be priced differently. We do not have an updated price list at this time.
The Rewards in the Pledge Manager will be identical to those in the campaign and will include all the Stretch Goals.

Can it be played by more than 4 players?
No. The Rewards include the components for 4 players only. We feel that adding more players slows the game down past the point where it is fun.

How does this connect with Mystic Vale?
The two games are in the same world but are not mechanically connected. You can’t use Mystic Vale components with Edge of Darkness or vice-versa.

What will it cost to have my Reward delivered?
We will be charging the actual shipping & handling costs we incur for each Reward in the Pledge Manager after the KS has ended and we have received weights & quotes from the fulfillment system. There are estimates for delivery costs on the Kickstarter campaign page.

Is the campaign "EU Friendly", or other questions about customs and/or VAT?
We will be shipping into Depots in the EU, the UK, Australia, China and arranging for transshipment across the border to Canada. Your package will ship from within the region serviced by those Depots. If you are in the EU you should not have to pay VAT or customs fees but it is impossible for us to ensure that for every order. Any VAT or customs fees that are charged will be your responsibility.

Can I back the campaign for $1
No. At the end of the campaign we will cancel and refund all pledges less than $60. We do expect to have Late Pledges available in the Pledge Manager after the campaign has ended.

Yes. You will also be able to purchase Add-Ons, and buy multiple copies of the Rewards.

Can I purchase multiple Rewards in the Pledge Manager to save on shipping?
Yes. The cost for additional Rewards will have a reduced Shipping & Handling fee since they can be delivered in one bulk order. We won’t know by how much until closer to the time to do the final shipping.

No. But we have announced an Add-On for Metal Coins! They’re 50 coins for $19. Read more in Update #29.

Can I upgrade to the Bane of the Blight Reward in the Pledge Manager?
Backers who selected the Agent or Guildmaster Reward during the Kickstarter will be able to upgrade to Bane of the Blight in the Pledge Manager. We do not expect to offer that deal to Late Backers who didn’t support the Kickstarter.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
